The Fosterton Schoolhouse was built in 1914, operated as an infants and primary school until its closure in1964.
It was used as a residence for some years, and now has been recently renovated for use as self-catering accommodation best suited for two adults.
The schoolhouse is set within a private 2-acre property on the picturesque Fosterton loop, just 7km from the township of Dungog.
Dungog is located at the foothills of the BarringtoTops
National Park. Situated along the Williams River in the north of the Hunter Valley, the township is just an hour from Newcastle and Port Stephens, two hours from Sydney and thirty minutes from the Pacific or New England Highway.
Unwind and relax in this peaceful setting or explore
the local attractions.
The schoolhouse has an open plan living area
with polished boards throughout.
It has a queen size bed, comfortable lounge and eating areas.
The kitchen is equipped with all essentials; dishwasher, full size stove and refrigerator, microwave, tea and plunged coffee
facilities included. A gas BBQ available on the verandah.
For cooler months, electric blankets and a wood burning fire is available. Reverse cycle air-conditioning, and ceiling fan for the
Television, DVD and CD player, iPod dock, hairdryer, iron and
